Info about this coming summer's program here

A Piece of USIU-Alliant and San Diego History

Nicholas Vega, Senior Curator at the San Diego Historical Society talks about 12-foot-high oak doors that stood in the entrance of the International Theosophical Institute on Point Loma in 1901, which is now Point Loma Nazarene. In 1952, a fire destroyed the temple, but the doors were saved.
The doors were carved in 1901 by Reginal Machell of the Royal Academy in London, and depict the artist's ideal man and woman. In 1942, the Theosophical Institute moved and the property was acquired by USIU, which is now Alliant International University. Alliant displays the doors so the public can admire the craftmanship and the history they represent.
