This scholarship is awarded annually to a CSPP student displaying significant contributions to the LGBT community.

Dr. Connell Persico served as the Dean of Students and Campus Provost from 1975-1991 at CSPP-LA after which he moved to a role of Senior Vice-President with CSPP. He worked with alumni, family and friends to establish this scholarship as a reflection of the core values of CSPP and to reduce the financial burden on a student committed to manifesting those values.
