Library Privileges

Graduates of Alliant International University are entitled to use the University Libraries . Please stop at the Circulation Desk at any site to obtain a borrower card.

San Diego Alumni: Please print & complete the Alumni Update Form and stop in at or mail the form to the Alumni Office to obtain an Alumni card. Then bring the card to the library to get your library account and barcode.

Loan Periods and Renewals: Library books and dissertations may be checked out for a 28-day loan period with no renewal. Alumni may not page or request books through Link+ or Interlibrary Loan. Patrons wishing to request books from other libraries (ILL) should go to their public library to request the books.

Tests at the San Francisco Campus : The Campus Alumni Office has made the following tests available for one week loan through the Library: CAT-A, Rorschach, TAT, WAIS-R, WISC III, WMS-R, WRAT-3. Alumni tests may not be renewed. Please contact the Hurwich Library to have a test held for you. Tests are not available at other sites.

Overdue Library Materials: To encourage fair use of Library materials, fines are charged when materials are overdue, as follows:

Books and dissertations -- $0.50/day up to the replacement cost of the item

Alumni tests ( Alameda ) -- $10.00/day up to the replacement cost of the item.

Overdue notices will be sent to patrons via e-mail. Fines begin accruing the first day material is overdue. Patrons can pay in person or by mailing a check to the library. Patrons abusing the privilege of Library use by ignoring overdue notices will be billed for the replacement cost of the items, plus a service fee. In addition, fines exceeding $50 will result in Library privileges being revoked until the fines are paid.

Research Database Access: Alumni currently do not have remote access to the research databases due to licensing agreements. In-library access should be available at most campuses. Please click here for the list of library locations and library contact information.

Continuing Education Discounts

You can receive 10 percent off individual class fees. If you have any suggestions for future workshop topics, or if you are interested in submitting a proposal to teach a workshop suitable to a postdoctoral level audience, please contact the Continuing Education Director  at (800) 457-1273, ext. 308.
